Dear reader!
Fuengirola is not only favoured by the English tourists. No, two plumed guests are homed in the fishing harbour, namely a Red-throated Diver and a Razorbill.
" In this heavy swell the water is up to my neck!" the illustrious Red-throated Diver complains:
But after diving for half an hour he obviously was filled and let the waves carry him:
Well and who is it swimming to the quay wall?
A Razorbill we had never seen before and now it was diving right under our noses and …
… started an intensive cleaning!
"Would you like to see my small, but so strong in flight wings?"
Well and the stomach seemed to be full of fish!
The photos are - due to the heavy sea - not really sharp, but I was so happy to see for the first time these birds which are so seldom here, that I just have to show them!
Best regards
